Clustero and Hightech Kaunas Cluster Sign MoU to Foster Collaboration Across Romanian and Lithuanian Cluster Ecosystems

Clustero (Romania) and Hightech Kaunas Cluster (Lithuania) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), launching a strategic cooperation focused not only on bilateral collaboration between the two organizations, but also on creating new opportunities between Hightech Kaunas Cluster and the wider network of clusters represented by Clustero in Romania.

The agreement establishes a framework for long-term cooperation in the fields of cluster development, innovation and internationalization, with a strong emphasis on inter-cluster collaboration, joint innovation activities and business networking across ecosystems.

Connecting Lithuanian Innovation with Romania’s Cluster Network

Clustero is the representative body of Romanian clusters and the leading platform supporting the development, internationalization and integration of Romanian clusters into European and global value chains. Through its extensive network, Clustero connects clusters operating across multiple sectors including ICT, manufacturing, energy, agriculture, creative industries, health, mobility and advanced technologies.

Hightech Kaunas Cluster is a technology-driven cluster based in Lithuania, bringing together innovative companies specializing in information technology, artificial intelligence and digital solutions. The cluster supports innovation, international cooperation and the development of high value-added digital products and services.

The MoU creates opportunities for direct cooperation between Hightech Kaunas Cluster members and CLUSTERO member clusters, enabling broader engagement between companies, innovation stakeholders and regional ecosystems in both countries.

Focus on Inter-Cluster Cooperation and Joint Innovation

A key aspect of the partnership is the intention to facilitate cooperation not only at organizational level, but across the member clusters and companies represented by Clustero.

Through this cooperation, Clustero member clusters and Hightech Kaunas Cluster companies will be encouraged to collaborate on joint innovation activities, knowledge and expertise exchange, pilot projects and technology development, cross-border business cooperation as well as networking, matchmaking and joint events.
